This is something that we all need to be concerned with as a single incident can destroy your credibility, your reputation and the reputation of All-Stars. Remember you are representing All Stars all day everyday as Teachers/Instructors of All-Stars in everything you do in and out of the dojo. If you cannot accept the responsibility that goes with being a black belt / singlet or teacher/instructor then you may need to consider relinquishing your rank and title before it’s
stripped from you.
As Black Belts/Singlet’s - Teachers/Instructors, you have both a legal and ethical obligation to maintain the highest standards and ethics in and out of the dojo. You need to be setting a moral and ethical example that others would be proud to follow. Failure to follow the All-Stars Martial Arts Systems guidelines for ethical and moral behavior may result in you being stripped of your rank/title or expulsion from All-Stars martial Arts Systems. It is the individual’s responsibility to adhere to these guidelines.
Responsibility of a Black Belt/Singlet
- To set the highest example and standards for others to follow
- To assist the head instructor with teaching other students the way of martial arts
- To study and learn and look at opening a club one day to pass on the art / tradition
- To maintain your own skills up to your current rank
- To attend grading’s whenever possible
- To call grading’s whenever possible if asked to do so
- To be a mentor for the junior ranked students
- To consult with your head instructor on issues of concern
- To live the way of bushido
- To always upholds the honor of the school,
- To never talk badly about another students or instructor
- To instruct any students that may have a concern or dispute about another student the right way to go about it
- To always support and be loyal to the school and the head instructor
- To be or do your best (not be the best, do your best) you can in everything you do in and out of the dojo.
- To be the best partner, husband/wife, brother/sister, father/mother, boyfriend/girlfriend, son/daughter you can be
Reflection
I hope all Black Belt / Singlet instructors take the time to read this, so that we can reflect and take note of the great responsibility we all wear and carry as black Belts/Singlet’s or teachers of All Stars Martial Arts- it should not be taken lightly. If you are not behaving in the correct way in or out of the dojo, use this letter as your one and only warning to get your act together. I will find out who is not setting the highest standards of ethics inside or outside the dojo and I will take action. Please do not lose the faith I have in you all, to set the highest standards that reflect what All Stars is about.

SPIRITUAL TRAINING:The spiritual training is the path of the internal warrior; that means that the student gives up the idea of fighting against anyone and concentrates in finding the source that stops him from reaching his true self. Reaching this point, compassion can be understood. Helping others is perhaps the most direct way of helping ourselves. Success at this stage may be due to the accumulation of good actions and many hours of mediation during many lifetimes.

-Study of the journey from 1st to 2nd Dan - ie what you discovered about yourself along the way, what did you have to do to keep the body going, what did you have to do to keep the mind & spirit strong? ( min 500 words)
-Detailed eating plan must be produced in PDF and submitted 6 months prior to grading.
-Detailed training dairy must be produced in PDF and submitted 6 months prior to grading.

All Grades above Black Belt 1st Dan are done with the adults
as the requirements are unchanged from here on in. (Except
for the time duration for kids 2nd Dan is 1.5 minute rounds
instead of 2 or 3 minute rounds with the focus of non contact.
